Chilly August Days…

DSC_0234Oh my goodness guys, it’s August and apparently, Mother Nature thinks that it’s time for fall in Michigan… 65 degree high? Tell me you’re kidding. This girl is NOT ready for fall yet, but I decided to break out one of my very favorite sweaters. I found this sweater at a little boutique in Georgia called Two Friends. This is by far one of my favorite stores I’ve ever been in. I could spend HOURS in there, everything is so colorful and fun!

I hope you all are having a wonderful, sunny weekend!

Faster Horses

So sorry that it has taken me so long to get these photos up, but let me tell y’all, I’m STILL exhausted from this amazing weekend. For those of you who don’t know, I spent my weekend at a country music festival called Faster Horses in Brooklyn, MI.  3 days of sunshine,  great friends and country music (and maybe just a few adult drinks!)  It was such a blast and I wanted to share my experience with y’all! This year’s performers included Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and my personal favorite Brett Eldredge.   If you are a fellow Michigander who loves country music, I highly suggest that you attend this event next year.  I had so much fun planning my outfits for this event… but have to confess that it took me a few months (yes, months) to get everything just right! I mean really, how cute are those little flower barrettes? That was a last minute decision that came to me when I popped into the flower shop to get some fresh blooms for my house the day before the concert! As usual all of my outfit details can be found below! I hope y’all had a great weekend. XO – Liv

Bedroom Reveal

DSC_0002DSC_0004DSC_0005DSC_0233DSC_0025 (1)All of you were so sweet when I did my first home decor post about my loft that I wanted to share my bedroom decor with you! So, as you all know, I do not own my loft, I rent it! Renting can be both a blessing and a curse. My loft was move in ready, it just needed some homey touches to make it perfect! Lucky for me, my furniture and style fit PERFECTLY with the style already in the bones of this building. I’m really thinking about never moving out because of that exposed brick… so in love. As most of you saw in my loft reveal post, I went with lots of metallics, furs, and industrial glam pieces, my bedroom kind of continues that theme. Interior design is not my strength, but with my Mom’s help, I was able to make my vision for this space a reality.

When renting a space it can be super hard for you to make the space your own.  I suggest that you come up with a vision of what you’d like and go from there.  Don’t feel pressured to make everything look perfect right away, I’ve lived here since February and I’m still finding things to make the space look “just right.” I also highly recommend investing in some nice lamps no matter what your space looks like! Lamps give a much warmer glow than overhead lighting and really make a space feel more cozy!

As usual you can find all of my room details below.  I hope y’all have a great FRIDAY and stay tuned for some super fun details of my weekend adventures. XO – Liv

Shello Dahling!

Anybody else feeling like this is the most Monday feeling Wednesday there ever was? It’s been cloudy and rainy here for 3 days and it is just killing my happy mood! In my world, that’s NOT cool and it calls for the most colorful outfits I can find! Yesterday I broke out one of my very favorite (and very comfortable) Lilly dresses.  This is the Lilly Pulitzer Bay dress featured in Play that Trunky Music. But really, how great is that print title?!

The necklace I have on is also a special piece I want to share with you all! This was a great find at a little store in Savannah, GA called Palm Avenue.  These necklaces are made IN Savannah but the cutest company called Shello Dahling. Everything is super colorful and they use fun pieces like sea glass, oyster shells, and pom poms in every single piece! I could literally buy every necklace… it’s kind of a problem.

I hope you all have a bright and colorful week! As usual, all of my outfit details are available below. xo – Liv
